Outdated design and user frustration

The previous website, designed for desktop, offered a clunky and inconsistent mobile experience, with poor navigation and ineffective event or partner highlights. Breakpoint issues caused performance inconsistencies, underscoring the need for better quality control and seamless interactions.

The redesign aimed to align with M&S Bank Arena’s branding, modernize its digital presence, and serve both B2B and consumer audiences, while reusing functional elements from the ACC Liverpool redesign.

Mobile-first, user-focused experience

The redesign prioritized a mobile-first approach to serve 85% of users accessing the site on mobile, with fluid navigation, responsive layouts, and simplified event discovery. Client-provided wireframes guided the user interface, addressing pain points like breakpoint inconsistencies and ensuring smooth interactions.

Drawing from M&S’s modern branding and ACC Liverpool’s streamlined design, the project reused elements like navigation, footers, and sign-up blocks to create a cohesive, user-friendly platform that highlighted events, campaigns, and partnerships.

A seamless experience across devices

The redesigned website modernized M&S Bank Arena’s digital presence with a mobile-first platform, improved navigation, and an intuitive interface. New dynamic elements highlighted campaigns and partnerships, boosting brand credibility and engagement opportunities.

By balancing modern branding with user-focused functionality, the site reflected the M&S Bank Arena's role as a premier entertainment venue. It seamlessly integrated visual and operational elements from the ACC Liverpool redesign, maintaining a consistent digital identity.
